Hi-
I'm a graduate of the University of Florida and have been a licensed pharmacist for nearly 20 years. People call me “America’s Most Trusted Pharmacist” because I've spent the the last 10 years writing a syndicated column on health which reaches millions of people each week. People write to me from all over the world and thank me for giving them natural options, or for helping them stay safe on medications they need to take. I realize the importance and need for medications, but I prefer to think outside the pillbox. This mindset comes through in my work and has made me quite popular. As a young adult, I never dreamed that I would choose such a responsible position, and care for so many people's lives by sharing my advice. Your letters (& emails) of gratitude for my work are such an honor to receive.
I'm a bit of a clinical nerd, though I am invited to do alot of public speaking, television and radio. I confess that at this point of my life, I actually have fun doing media work for FOX, ABC, CBS, CNN and other television affiliates. Go figure. I think it's cause I get a make up artist and the event usually include new shoes!
I love to scrapbook and bead. My dining room table is covered with stones, crystals and pliers. Since my husband does glass artwork, it's fair to say that our dining room table has no room on it whatsoever for food. We eat in the kitchen or living room. Eating is quite possibly my favorite passtime with sushi ranking at the top of the list. It's the spicy sauce. And here's my hidden talent--I can make beautiful, perfect sushi rolls. I also love Greek and Indian cuisine....good coffee, chocolate and pizza. Did I mention I like to eat? Maintaining my size requires work so I enjoy the gym, where I take a weekly dance class and 'dance like no one's watching.' I'm okay but it's a good thing I have this day job of writing.
After the release of my first book, The 24-Hour Pharmacist (Collins, 2007), I did alot of booksignings, speaking engagements, radio, podcasts and TV shows. I call Florida my home. Sam and I have had the pleasure of loving 3 fantastic children named Samara (18), Rachel (15), and Michael (15). I am extremely proud of them, and their presence in my life allows me to wake up with a smile each day.

Hi, I am very proud of what our company has come to represent. Since it’s birth, in 1999, Dear Pharmacist, Inc (DPI) has been spreading health information and good will to people across the United States and abroad through many mediums.
Some people ask how this all began. I was stuck in traffic and sitting at a red light one day when I saw a vision of my wife, Suzy in the newspaper. I went home and told her about it, and the rest is history. The full version of this funny story is in the introduction of our first book, The 24-Hour Pharmacist.
As an alternative doctor myself, practicing chiropractic and hands-on-healing for the last 20 years, I have experienced first hand the need for cutting-edge health care information and advice. It is because of my training and commitment to healing that I am able to see what needs to happen next with our company. As Founder of DPI, I play all kinds of roles ranging from marketing, research, lecturing, radio interviews, scheduling Suzy and running daily operations. At this point, I should confess I am also the official luggage carrier and latte maker. I am both an artist and a musician. I have written and performed songs that are very touching and I openly share these with you because I have been told by others that my music is quite inspirational and uplifting.

with love and I've learned to create beautiful shapes, like hearts

All in all, we are pleased to 'meet' you and hope that you like our new website. Between my holistic background and Suzy's intelligence we have created the perfect blend to offer people the best of both worlds when it comes to health. Since information is power, always remember that no matter how poorly you feel today, there is always hope. Medicine changes at an exponential rate so we will continue our mission to spread ‘love’ in the form of healing advice, music, art and hugs!
